Who runs the event?Back to Top
The British Triathlon Federation run these events to give children the opportunity to have a go at sport and get active in a fun and safe environment.
What are the distances?Back to Top
The distances vary depending on the event – click through to the event nearest you to find out the exact distance. But as a guide, the swim will be between 60m and 75m, the bike between 800m and 1500m and the run between 600m and 1200m.
Can children with special needs participate?Back to Top
Corus Kids of Steel is an inclusive event and all children are encouraged to participate.
How to I register my child for an event?Back to Top
Registration in advance is not necessary for individual children, simply turn up on the day and register. If you plan to bring a group of children, please contact us in advance and we will book you in.
What do the children need to bring?Back to Top
Each child must bring a swim suit, a towel, trainers and t-shirt. Bikes and bike helments will be supplied.

We believe that every child has the right to participate in a safe environment. British Triathlon follows tight rules and regulations regarding child protection and has extensive guidelines and code of practice http://www.britishtriathlon.org/about/childprotection/.
