Corus Kids of Steel Crystal Palace event on 3rd May has signed up for the London Summer of Sport festivities. The London Summer of Sport is about getting Londoners of all ages and abilities participating in free or almost free sporting activities across the capital in the run up to the Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2012 and beyond.

Led by the Mayor of London in partnership with Sport England, London Councils, London Community Sports Network and other key agencies, the

London Summer of Sport also aims to link local opportunities for participation in sporting events with high profile national and international events such as Wimbledon, Test Cricket and the prologue and stage one of the Tour de France which is coming to the city in July.

The key aim of the programme is to provide opportunities and encourage people to participate in sport and physical activity. Individual sports clubs, youth and community groups are encouraged to apply to the London Summer of Sport for assistance in putting on sporting events in which members of the public will be able to participate.

Events will run across London ranging from multi sport festivals, sport club open days and taster sessions providing a range of opportunities for the community to take part.
